SHAPES

"Extending upon these projects and his 2005 Shapes Project — a system he created to produce (and keep track of) enough unique graphic emblems for every person on the planet, without repeating — he began to think about the Northeast of the United States, where he himself lives, and especially the state of Maine, which he has visited only once. He became attracted to the pride Maine's inhabitants take in the traditions of homecraft, and decided to research artists and artisans of the state who offer custom creations to the public through maintaining their own websites, and who run small businesses out of their homes."

MOMENTS

where everything is OK? Do you know what I mean?
Just for, like, one moment, everything is great.
Not since I graduated, no. But yeah... yeah.
When you, like, catch yourself in a moment...
and you're saying, wait, I'm happy here in the moment.
Right. And then it just goes away really quickly.
-Gone. -It just... It's...
I know I've had a couple of those, you know.
I always forget them, but I know I've had them.
Oh, me, too.
Like right now... is one.
Yeah... like now.

DA PA' LO' DO'

This might seem a bizarre introduction But this Christmas we were able to presence the hysteria that Rita Indiana y Los Misterios are causing in the DR. She is political and somewhat global in a satirical way. She mixes Mambo, Metal, Electro, Merengue just to mention a few. A mangú of our times. And now with Haiti just falling apart under a massive disaster I can only repeat the title for one of her songs on her upcoming album. A song that talks about Haiti and the DR's constant struggling relationship instead of partnership.
DA PA' LO' DO'
DA PA' LO' DO
DA PA' LO' DO
DA PA' LO' DO
Because it is true. La Hispañola is enough to share with two nations. We are like brothers. Except that one has giving his back to the other deciding to fly far for a better future forgetting the past. Except that one has step on the other despite the fact that they somewhat have also help to built a structure. And there was Rita. As if she knew this disaster was going to unite not only the two of us but ALL of us. As if she knew that this song had the possibility of becoming a anthem for hope.

THE LADY

While Peter prepares different stocks and butchers the duck that we will be eating to celebrate our "thanks giving", I been sipping on a Ball jar with wine and discovering the awesomeness of the new LADY. Lady Gaga. It took me more than a year to become consume by the pop phenomenon that now she is. With references from Otto Dix's paintings, Star Wars outfits among some other crazy accessories I have to confess, I am obsess!
