I been considering changing the name of the this blog. I go back and forth on wether to do it or not. This debate started early this week while I was reading a interview that Hans-Ulbrich Obrist did to Harald Szeemann months before his death. Szeeman was one of the first independent curators in the early 70's. He was responsible for the exhibition " When attitudes become form" which a lot of people consider shaped the definition of conceptual art . In his interview he stated that one of the ways he was able to organize exhibits was by creating this fictional museum in his head which he name The Museum of Obsessions. This is what spark the idea of changing the name of this blog. This is by far one the perfect name for a blog, for my blog, considering that all the things I show here are truly the products of my obsessions. My obsession with art, fashion, design, words, fun, drinking, talking, seeing, hearing, etc. etc. etc.
One of the problems with changing the name is that if I do I would lose the Dominican/spanish identifier in the blog. Evidently is a given considering that I am the Dominican/Spanish trait and no matter what I do or how much more TV I watch this days, I will still be the little girl that bought the Sunday lunch fish with her grandpa by the shore.
For the most part. I just fucking love this name! The Museum of Obsession so for now on the name of this blog is this:
The museum of obsessions!
I also read in a blog that Josef Alberts said ANGST IS DEAD and I also love this.
